- keep scheduled workflow's job matrix the same - reduce default job matrix, which is triggered on PRs, pushes to `main`, and callers' default)

@maureeungaro this PR reduces the default job matrix; if you want your CI workflows to still test larger matrices, define them in your caller workflow, e.g., JeffersonLab/coatjava#416 (see also the readme) |
