The doc strings get processed by Documenter into the documentation proper https://juliaapproximation.github.io/FastTransforms.jl/dev/. How does the Unicode change work with this setup?

It almost certainly works with unicode to some extent, so replacing \\langle with ⟨ will be fine.

I'm not a fan of the mixed-syntax W_{:,n} and think writing W[:,n] is better.
