- 🌱 I love learning about autonomous systems with a focus on controls and state estimation.
- 🎓 I'm on internship after my third year of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at Queen's University
- 💬 Feel free to shoot me an email
Queen's AutoDrive is a design team that is competing against 9 other teams in the GM - SAE AutoDrive Challenge II autonomous driving competition. We are developing autonomous driving systems for our Chevrolet Bolt. I'm currently directing the Autonomy division, which includes everything from sensor fusion to motion planning and controls. It is an extremely fast-paced environment that has found me learning far more than I could've imagined.
Inspired by watching in disbelief as SpaceX caught booster 12 with the launch tower, I wondered how a model predictive controller would work in such a situation. With some time on my hands, I decided to find out.
Inspired by Cubli, it is a cube that can balance on a corner or edge by spinning reaction wheels. Though it balances on the corner, there is always room to make it more robust. Not sure when I will return to this project, but this is certainly not the end.
I added intellisense support for Turing in Vscode. I learned a lot about managing a project as it scales.
A clean site a friend and I made for our school's hackathon
