@rafacouto Can you please explain where this firmware has been sourced from (and where the original upstream location is, if not the same). Thanks |
It is from LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv@53c60dd and it is used here. |
@rafacouto is the firmware somewhere outside of WeTek Play needed ? We are currently installing it via https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/blob/master/packages/linux-drivers/wetekdvb/package.mk just for the WP. |
I think so since the DVB module is not exclusive to WeTek and another projects have the need to use it. The idea is move the driver from WeTek_Play project to the linux-drivers package. The badly alternative is to replicate the file in every custom package 😉 |
@rafacouto DVB drivers for WeTek Play and WeTek Play 2 are already in linux-drivers: https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/tree/master/packages/linux-drivers/wetekdvb |
Nope, this one is a patch in the WeTek_Play project: https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/blob/master/projects/WeTek_Play/patches/linux/010-wetek_dvb_code.patch |
Yes, but firmware is a part of the package I have mentioned. |
Uhmmm, I see... IMHO, firmware should be located under this repo (linux-firmware/dvb-firmware package) and driver code under a linux-drivers/avl6211package (that I am trying to do). I insist: the AVL6211 hardware module is used in another non wetek boxes. |

@CvH S805 boxes like K1. This is my case but it is an I2C hardware module independent from WeTek brand: https://www.datasheets.com/datasheet/avl6211la-availink-56448522.html |
