What I'm Into Right Now

Deep in AI agent territory. Multiple agents running in parallel, context-switching fast enough to keep everything moving. The real work isn't the agents — it's holding it all together. Wired for exactly that.

About

10+ years of writing buggy software, iterating until it has fewer bugs, and doing it all over again. Cloud infrastructure, FinOps tooling, multi-cloud platforms.

Ask a lot of questions. Not for lack of understanding — because the most expensive bug is building the wrong feature perfectly.

Value-driven first. Not everything worth doing is obvious — but everything not worth doing is.

Build and operate. You don't truly understand what you've shipped until you're the one on-call at 3am.

Terminal-first. tmux from a phone — building at the supermarket, the bank, anywhere there's a gap. With AI, 100x faster at making mistakes and learning from them.

Meetings only for what can't be resolved async — and we leave with results.

Trilingual: English, German, Bulgarian.

For the full picture, see Long.

Open Source

With AI on the rise, generic software has no business being closed and proprietary. Niche, competitive industries have their reasons for keeping things closed — but everything else should be open.

Experience

Software Engineering Lead — Broadcom

Jan 2024 – Present

  • Built Broadcom's cloud inventory and chargeback system — ensuring every account, project, and subscription across AWS, GCP, and Azure is attributed to the right team with accurate billing data, giving Product BUs a realistic picture of their cloud spend
  • Kept to established patterns: REST, OpenAPI, microservices — simple, maintainable, no reinvention
  • Became a decision evaluator — getting the most out of every developer, even those with zero interest in learning

R&D Manager — VMware

Dec 2022 – Jan 2024

  • Led a globally distributed team running a ring-0 cloud access service at 99.999% uptime
  • Trusted engineers with solutions and let them learn from mistakes, rather than micro-managing with "the right way according to me"
  • Owned roadmap planning, balancing SOC2/PCI DSS/ISO compliance with feature delivery

Full Stack Software Engineer — VMware

Jan 2021 – Dec 2022

  • Co-architected a ground-up refactor of an event-driven multi-cloud access platform (Terraform + Lambdas deploying across 17,000+ accounts in all AWS regions simultaneously) — 99.9999% availability, strict monitoring, observability, on-call
  • The platform provided just-in-time credentials used by all SRE teams to access and troubleshoot cloud accounts
  • Established standards — documentation, Jira tracking, development practices — to scale from a small crew to a real operation

Full Stack Software Engineer — TEKOM

Apr 2020 – Jan 2021

  • Built custom software for process automation and data collection on- and off-site
  • Introduced agile practices to construction teams who'd never seen them

Full Stack Software Engineer — G Adventures

Feb 2020 – Apr 2020

  • Built API layer in Django, contributed to React/Redux/Apollo frontend for trip management
  • Drew on travel experience to drive product decisions and iterate fast

Full Stack Software Engineer — Hadoco

Dec 2017 – Dec 2019

  • Data science web apps, Vue frontend redesigns, Ionic PWAs — iterated on all of it
  • Deployed and managed everything on Azure
  • Main developer in Founders Foundation Startup Accelerator

Junior Software Engineer — stressfrei / stressfrei Logistik

Dec 2016 – Jul 2017

  • Built, SEO-optimized, and published 5–6 websites in raw PHP and Bootstrap, including company main site and subsidiary sites
  • Built internal mobile time recording system for employees
