Had a talk with Aaron last night about this. Somehow Skyblocker does not care what gets canceled, it'll render regardless, but other mods do care. Rather than canceling hud element rendering, replacing the element with nothing is better for mod compatibility and is what Skyblocker has switched to doing for better compat.
