Setting the Hypnos Time

The time automatically converts the local time into UTC time, which is 7 hours ahead of PST time. Before deploying, steps are taken to ensure that the time is set accurately when uploading the code. Additionally, WiFi-connected devices on the latest software may automatically sync to the correct time through the internet. However, there may be times when the times don’t line up. If this is the case, the time may need to be set again.

Open the Arduino IDE on your computer.

Before anything else, make sure the coin cell battery on the device is installed and the battery is sufficient. Generally ,we recommend replacing the coin cell before every major deployment of devices. (6-12 months) This coin cell powers the real-time clock and is essential to ensuring that the time recorded is accurate. Connect the Feather M0 to the laptop through a USB cable and select the right port in the Arduino IDE. Then, open the serial monitor. To set the time, while holding the red interrupt button on the outside of the device, quickly tap the reset button on the Feather M0.
