Overview of Committee Chair Roles and Responsibilities
These are two-year, renewable terms. The duration of the first term for the Committee Chair is from November 16, 2015 – November 16, 2017. Throughout the term of the Committee Chair, the role of the Committee Chair is to:
- Identify members to form their respective committee.
- Seek to ensure that the diversity of experiences and perspectives within PCORnet are represented of its members.
- Be accountable to the PCORnet Council and will work closely with the PCORnet Council Chair and Vice-Chair.
Upcoming Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities for the Committee Chairs during the initial phase of establishing the Committees include:
- Developing the Committee Charter
- Develop Committee processes including:
- Establishing a meeting schedule
- Developing an email distribution list
- Creating workgroups when necessary
- Guidelines for engaging with the Executive Committee
- Identify and lead the formation of each respective Committee
- Support Efficient Use of the PCORnet Data Network (VI.C.)
- PCORnet Reciprocal Data Sharing Agreement (VI.E.)
- Data Infrastructure Software Development Environment (VI.F.)
- Monitor Data Quality for the Distributed Research Network (VI.G.)
- Develop Annual Updates to the Common Data Model (VI.H.)
- Foster Innovation in the PCORnet Data Community (VI.I.)
- Data Privacy and Security (VI.J.)
