Welcome to Talk2Translate! This application allows you to easily convert spoken English or Tamil into the opposite language. It displays the translated text and plays the audio output, making communication easy and efficient.
To get started, visit this page to download: Talk2Translate Releases.
- Click on the link above to go to the Releases page.
- Look for the latest version.
- Download the file suitable for your operating system (Windows or Mac).
- Once the download is complete, locate the file in your Downloads folder.
- Double-click the file to run the installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Before installing, ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, or macOS Mojave or later.
- RAM: At least 4 GB.
- Processor: 1.8 GHz or faster.
- Storage: Minimum 200 MB of free space.
- Internet Connection: Required for translation features.
- Open the Application: Launch Talk2Translate after installation.
- Select Your Language: Choose either English or Tamil as the input language.
- Speak Clearly: Use your microphone to speak the text you want to translate. Ensure that your microphone is connected and working.
- View Translation: The translated text will appear on the screen.
- Listen to Output: Click the play button to hear the audio translation.
- Real-Time Translation: Convert your speech into text and then into the opposite language instantly.
- Multi-Language Support: Currently supports English and Tamil, with plans for more languages in the future.
- User-Friendly Interface: Designed for ease of use, suitable for all ages.
Talk2Translate is open-source software licensed under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it under the terms of this license.
If you would like to contribute to Talk2Translate, you are welcome! Please follow these steps:
- Fork the repository on GitHub.
- Create a new branch for your feature.
- Make your changes and commit them.
- Push your changes to your forked repository.
- Submit a pull request to the main repository for review.
Currently, Talk2Translate supports English and Tamil.
At this time, the application is only available for desktop operating systems. A mobile version may be planned for the future.
You can report bugs directly on the Issues page of the repository on GitHub. Please provide a detailed description and steps to reproduce the issue.
Some features require an internet connection, especially for translation. Offline translation capabilities may be added in future versions.
