Not compatible with Commercial Unix.

PS HPUX's ls app and Linux/GNU's ls app, do not share a single letter in common. IDK why, would want to know the backstory if someone knows the history behind it.

I dont think the POSIX specs have ever touched the topic of command line switches. /bin minimum programs required, maybe, but no spec defines the command line args for each POSIX OS's cmd line args.
