Permaweb Journal articles are truly inspiring.

I believe the philosophy of the Permaweb deserves to reach non-English speaking communities as well.
To start with, I have translated all current articles into Japanese.

Changes

  • Set up a basic multilingual structure under translation/, with folders per language. Each folder contains:
    • Optimized translation prompts
    • Translated markdown articles
  • Some articles available on the official website were not found under content/articles, so I converted them into markdown and added placeholders (tentative content).
  • Completed Japanese translations of all existing articles.

Feedback requested

  • The directory structure is provisional (cf. deep-research-arweave).
Do you think this structure works?
Or would you prefer language-specific repos like journal-ja?

Notes

  • I used Claude for translation, as it outperformed other models like ChatGPT in translation accuracy.
  • Translation prompts are specifically optimized for Japanese.
  • Translated articles have also been cross-posted on Qiita (Japan's largest technical writing platform), with clear credit and links to the original Permaweb Journal articles.

Let me know if you’d like any changes to structure, file naming, or approach!
