Ponder upon leaving it so if someone wants to do custom GPIO stuff cough cough @spacey-sooty cough cough they can without having to fiddle with the image. |

I think it should be left in the image, no harm in it being there potential issues from not having it. Also are we keeping status LEDs? If so this shouldn't be removed |

Closing this but we do want to change to libgpiod. |
