Inform Slicer if the target becomes out of reach #25
Description
Inform Slicer if the target becomes out of reach upon receiving a new Target position or in cases where the new tip feedback position received from the Slicer renders the target out of reach. A status message along with a transform message of the estimated reachable target position can be sent back to Slicer to inform the physician. The physician can then decide to continue proceeding or stop the insertion. The estimated target position can be displayed over the image to help with decision-making. Moreover, other distance measurement analyses can be used to set a threshold for the targeting discrepancy. If the threshold exceeds the set value, the reachable target can be shown to the physician.
