Stardew Valley Mod Manager

Version: 220401
Release Date: April 5, 2022

About This Release

This is the first update for April, 2022 for the Stardew Valley Mod Manager. This update contains some critical bug fixes, general improvements and new features.

New Features:

  • #30 - The application now checks for updates on startup automatically. If you would prefer to manually check for updates, you can disable this within the application settings.
  • If the user chooses to update the application, the application will now download, extract and run the update installer automatically - no longer prompting the user to visit the GitHub repository to download updates.
  • Added a link to view the Changelogs for the version installed, as the update process now skips the GitHub repository and the associated changelogs.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • #31 - Application no longer breaks when resizing larger or smaller than the default window size.
  • #29 - The "Check for updates" button in the Mod Update Check (Beta) tool no longer remains read-only when the mod being checked is validated as "Up to date"
  • #20 - The settings window has been turned into a tab in the main page of the application. The deprecated settings window is still accessible via this tab. The tab does not show by default, still requiring the user to click the "Settings" link.

Notes

Please note that this is not marked as a pre-release, however this is because the application has been tested among a control group and with the exception of one user that didn't have enough disk space to complete the tests, the application was received well and no major issues were found. This software may still have glitches and issues. We encourage you to create an issue with any bugs you may find.
