I didn't start with a clear plan — I started with curiosity. In school I was introduced to basic programming and something just clicked. I wanted to understand how things worked under the hood, not just on the surface.
Web development pulled me in early. I picked up HTML, CSS, then PHP, then Laravel — and each layer opened up a new world. But the real shift happened when I joined iNiLabs and started working on software that real businesses depended on every day. That's when I stopped thinking like a student and started thinking like an engineer.
4 years of production work — fixing bugs at 2am, integrating payment gateways for clients in East Africa, deploying ERPs used by thousands of schools — that shaped how I think about software. Not just "does it work" but "will it hold up."
Continuous learning is still a habit. I'm always picking up something new — whether it's a new architecture pattern, a different deployment approach, or a technology I haven't touched before. That's what keeps this work interesting.
