Edge Location

It is an endpoint for AWS which is used for caching content. Typically, it consists of CloudFront (Amazon implementation of Content Delivery Network (CDN)).

1. Regions will have AZs
2. No.of Edge Locations > No.of Availability Zones > No.of Regions
3. In general, Region will have 1-5 AZs. But, for production purposes region should have at least 2 AZs.
4. AZs (57 present and 15 more coming) exists inside Regions (19 present and 5 more coming). Edge locations (~96) exists all around the world.
5. Az is 1 or more discrete Datacenters.
