+## ECSD: The new native stablecoin on Ethereum Classic
+
+We extend our heartfelt thanks to the [ETC Grants DAO](https://etcgrantsdao.io/) for their support in our project to create a Djed-based stablecoin on Ethereum Classic. This grant will allow us to bring reliable stability to Ethereum Classic’s emerging decentralized financial ecosystem.
+
+### Why Ethereum Classic?
+
+Our decision to expand to Ethereum Classic is driven by the alignment between its principles and the values of The Stable Order. We believe that blockchain immutability and the principle of “code is law” are crucial for a stable world. Ethereum Classic’s history of upholding these principles, especially during the fork from Ethereum, demonstrates its commitment to stability.
+
+This makes it an ideal platform for a Djed-based stablecoin.
+
+### Supporting the OG EVM Blockchain
+
+We are also honored to contribute to Ethereum Classic, the original EVM and smart contract-capable blockchain. It’s our moral obligation to support the blockchain that paved the way for all EVM-compatible platforms.

+### About ECSD
+
+The Ethereum Classic Stable Dollar (ECSD), created by The Stable Order, will be based on the Osiris version of the [Djed Stablecoin Protocol](https://viewpoints.stability.nexus/a/what-is-the-djed-alliance/) and will be part of the [Djed Alliance](https://djed.one/). Here are its key features:

+- Immutability: Aligned with Ethereum Classic’s “code is law” principle, ECSD’s smart contracts cannot be altered once deployed.
+
+- Capital efficiency: The reserve surplus is tokenized to increase capital efficiency. These tokens (ECRS — Ethereum Classic Reserve Surplus Share) can be freely used within the Ethereum Classic ecosystem.
+
+- Autonomous: Fully decentralized with no governance. Minting and redemption of ECSD and reserve coins (ECRS) are fully autonomous and permissionless.
+
+- Price stability: Pegged to USD and supported by [formally verified mathematical theorems](https://eprint.iacr.org/2021/1069.pdf).

+- Fully backed: Backed by a reserve of ETC with a reserve ratio significantly greater than 100%.
