I read the instructions more carefully, and we'll see if setting the new version in actions/cache does the trick

This should take care of the failing test situation. It looks like actions/toolkit#1890 and https://github.blog/changelog/2024-12-05-notice-of-upcoming-releases-and-breaking-changes-for-github-actions/#actions-cache-v1-v2-and-actions-toolkit-cache-package-closing-down describe the situation a bit more than "test pass again". |
