Installation on a Commodore 116

Unfortunately there is very little space available in the C116, so the board must be built in a special way, in order to fit into this machine.

Essentially two changes are necessary:

  • The 4464 DRAM chips must be soldered directly to the board, without sockets. Make sure to use known-good chips.
  • Spare cut resistors legs must be used rather than male pin headers: for proper sizing, use a spare DIP socket, insert the wires through the board into the socket until it does not go any further and solder it off:
