DOCS-12016 - Add API files

Purpose of this pull request

This pull request is the third attempt to add API files. Search broke when the previous two PRs merged (PR #5940 and #5949), so I reverted them. However, we determined that it's not the PRs themselves that broke search, but the build process. So I'm attempting to add the files again.

Select the type of change

• Minor Changes - Typos, formatting, slight revisions
• Update Content - Revisions, updating sections
• New Content - New features, sections, pages, tutorials
• Site and Tools - .clabot, version updates, maintenance, dependencies, new packages for the site (Docusaurus, Gatsby, React, etc.)
