This is the github homepage of Persius.
Our mission is to help patients access critical care, and promote transparency, accountability, and justice.
We do this by
- Operating a free, human-run support program to help people appeal wrongful health insurance denials.
- Building ML and software to lower the barriers patients face in seeking recourse, and to make our appeal support more efficient.
- Acquiring and releasing data that informs accountability (e.g. through public records requests).
- Reporting on data, barriers, prevalent behaviors, policy, and perverse incentives plaguing the health insurance industry.
