uDig and JGrasstools
Proposal
Development of a simple module based on the JGrasstools libraries to be used in uDig's Spatial Toolbox. The module will estimate the maximum fluvial corridor that can be eroded during extreme flood events.
This will be the starting point for the evaluation of the solid transportation during flooding events, in particular related to wood and sediments.
The next steps then will be the evaluation of the availability of solids and wood for each section and the propagation downstream the network.

Zoo-project and JGrasstools
Proposal
The JGrasstools project works mainly from the Spatial Toolbox of uDig. Its modularity and highly annotated nature makes it possible to adapt quite easily to other toolboxes. One example has been the adaptation to the Geotools Process API. The JGrasstools project would benefit a lot from the possibility to be used within a WPS environment. The proposal is to integrate the JGrasstools libraries to be able to work inside the Zoo-project to serve its modules under the WPS standard.
