Hey there! I’m Yash, a machine-learning wizard by day and a human who occasionally takes breaks to explore reality by night (or at least until the coffee runs out ☕). If you’re looking for a curious mind that’s always ready to tackle the next interesting problem or an obsessive coder who thrives on "just one more bug to squash," well, you’ve come to the right place.

When I'm not knee-deep in Python scripts or machine learning models, you'll either find me:

• 🌲 Hiking up the nearest mountain (or at least pretending to while daydreaming about code)
• 📚 Reading obscure books (sometimes because they remind me of debugging errors). See: Recent Reads
• 🏃‍♂️ Jogging (so I can justify the snack breaks during coding sprints)

If I'm not doing one of the above, I’m probably sitting somewhere, sipping coffee, and plotting out my next project or world domination plan (don’t worry, it involves more coding than actual world domination... for now).

My current coding obsession involves this fascinating project where I’m finetuning a shallow LLM model (well Im trying to keep it light weight), to spit out Mermaid.js syntax so I WONT HAVE TO DO DOCUMENTATION EVER AGAIN!! ... I mean, I won’t spoil the surprise, but stay tuned for updates. 😉

Oh! And the Agenomics project where I attempt to keep up with the fast paced progress in the AI space.

• A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara (currently reading) – Deep, immersive, and emotionally intense. I’ve barely reached the quarter mark and already find myself pacing my reading to appreciate it fully. It’s made me reflect on how much I’ve changed over time and how deeply certain stories can resonate.
• Ikigai by Hector Garcia & Francesc Miralles - Next to read
• Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh, Heart the Lover by Lily King, What did I miss by Holly Brunnbauer - A hard maybe. Undecided. Bonus points to Lily King because one of the characters is named Yash XD

• The Grieving Brain by Mary-Frances O'Connor, PhD – Explores the neuroscience of grief and loss. I like reading about neurobiology, and drawing parallels to the inner workings of Deep Neural Networks.
• An Abundance of Katherines by John Green – A fun, unexpected read recommended by a friend. A story about a guy who dates and is dumped by 19 different Katherines.
• Stillwater by Tanya Scott – The debut novel of a good friend and an incredible storyteller. I was fortunate to attend the launch and was captivated by the narrative. A thoughtful, engaging read that left me excited for her next release.
• Forward the Foundation by Isaac Asimov – A prequel in the Foundation universe that I discovered mid-series. I realized halfway through that I’d read the books out of order, so I skipped a few chapters to come back to them later — a good problem to have as a lover of sci-fi lore.
• Drop Bear by Evelyn Araluen – My first poetry collection, bought in Tasmania during a business trip. I don’t usually read poetry, but this has been a rewarding learning experience in slowing down and savoring language.
• If He Had Been With Me and Twice by Mitch Albom – I’m a bit reluctant to call myself a romance reader, but these books were meaningful in unexpected ways. Worth mentioning even if they pushed me slightly outside my comfort zone.

• The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand – A powerful exploration of purpose and individualism that shaped my younger years.
• Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand – A thought-provoking continuation of her philosophy on human existence.
• For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway – A poignant story that helped me see human lives as deeply interconnected, counteracting Rand’s hyper-individualism.
• The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka – A stark and surreal exploration of alienation and identity.
• Crime and Punishment & The House of the Dead by Fyodor Dostoevsky – Classic deep dives into morality and the human soul.
• Murder Must Advertise by Dorothy L. Sayers – A thrilling read that keeps you on your toes.
• The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams – A witty and clever sci-fi adventure with absurdly fun moments.
