I was getting deprecation warnings that
object_idwas deprecated anddefault_entity_idshould be used instead, and that the original version would stop working in Homeassistant 2026.4.For most values, homeassistant was suggesting things like
binary_sensor.<old id>and the like, but finding the correct thing to prepend for over 80 values was too much for my taste.I found that using the generic
sensor.<old_id>worked on all IDs - this way I could keep all my automation by avoiding changes in IDs.There might be another way with finer granularity of sensor types - but the generic way worked for me.
Thanks for the great templates by the way, working like a breeze for my vitocal 250.
