Galaxy API is currently returning 500 errors, preventing deployments for dynamic collection + preventing EE builds from installing required collections. This change implements a hotfix that:

  • Bake everything in the EE so agnosticd doesn't try to download from galaxy dynamically at provision time
  • Downloads collection tarballs directly via their download URLs
  • Installs collections from local files during container build
  • Maintains all existing collection dependencies and versions
  • Supports both community Galaxy and Red Hat Automation Hub collections

The solution consists of:

  • download_collections.py script to fetch tarballs via direct links
  • hotfix_install_collections.sh to install from local files
  • Modified Containerfile to use the hotfix process
  • Updated .gitignore to exclude downloaded tarballs
