With kernel 6.10.0 there was a switch from using the circ_buf struct to using kfifo in the serial core. The kernel change is at: torvalds/linux@1788cf6
With kernel 5.114.0-513 a change was backported from the 6.5 kernel, added some logic to account for that in buildenv.h.
There were changes made to the release branch that never made their way back to main/ntv2_17_5 The release branch will be locked down in future to prevent this from happening again.
