Love a page and want to store it in "Slack" for future reference ? Press Cmd + B / Ctrl + B

How to make it work ?

• Set up Slack Bot

  • Let's say your workspace name is "myspace"
  • Head to Slack apps > https://myspace.slack.com/apps
  • Search for Bots
  • Click Add Configuration and give it a username (say bookmarks-bot), purpose, etc.
  • A Bot token starting with xoxb- will be generated.

• Run Chrome Extension

  • Clone this Repo (this extension is not in Chrome Store).
  • Change the Token and channel name in config.js accordingly.
  • Visit Chrome extensions on Chrome browser.
  • Ensure that the Developer mode is turned on.
  • Click Load unpacked extension.
  • Select the directory.
  • 🎉 We are done

How to use

• Press Cmd + B
• Or Right-click mouse and select Slack this
• A notification comes from bookmarks-bot (if you named it so 😬)
• All your bookmarks are saved in bookmarks-bot chat window.
