also there was no consumer-rules.pro file for libanki, and that's an error now
there are a lot of changes needed and I have been collecting them in my head this now collects them on a speculative branch for periodic effort as possible

This is no where close to merge and little attention should be paid to it now
However AGP9 will contain lots of changes (including breaking changes to the plugin ecosystem in at least one dep we use - the Triple-T publisher) and I've been mentally collecting workarounds and fixes
This makes that collection of workarounds and fixes a concrete thing vs stuck in my head
There are still at least 4 unresolved problems which you can reproduce by any of:
git commitwithout adding--no-verify(the ktlint thing fails)
