Guayadeque Preferences Playback

You can enable the option 'Play random track/album when playlist is empty' to randomly add tracks to the playing queue when it is empty and you press Play, or when Guayadeque reaches its end. You can select if you want Guayadeque to add individual tracks or complete albums.

If the option 'Delete played tracks from playlist' is checked, once a track is played it will be removed from the Now Playing list.

Replaygain is a way to normalize or equalize the loudness of the music being played. This information is stored as metadata inside the files and Guayadeque can read this information but can't create the metadata itself. You can choose to normalize tracks or whole albums. You can also switch off this feature. For in-depth explanation about replaygain we recommend you check this document online.

With the next options you can modify the way tracks are added when Smart Mode is on or when adding random tracks.

The first option 'Tracks left to start search' tells when the program will start searching for new songs. For example in the capture it is configured at 4, this means that when there are only 4 tracks left to play in the playlist the search is launched.

The next option 'Tracks added each time' is more clear and lets you decide how many tracks are added in each smart mode query or random pick. The option 'Max played tracks kept in playlist' lets you decide how many played tracks you want to keep in the playlist. This allows you to go to recent played tracks easily. Obviously this option is not available if you checked ‘Delete played tracks from playlist’.

Some tracks have a long silence at the end but most players don't switch tracks until they reach the end of it. With the Silence detector options you can configure Guayadeque to switch to next track when playing one of these tracks. You can configure the sound level and the time lapse required to change tracks.
