- Four types of custom transcription symbols: simple symbols, comment wrappers, segment wrappers and wrappers for comments with scope can now be defined and used in the symbols dialog.
- Custom symbols can be imported and exported as .JSON files from the symbols dialog or the menu bar.
2. New export format conventions and customization options
- A new Talk in Qualitative Research (TiQ) format convention can now be chosen in the export preview dialog.

- Optimization for Chinese/Japanese/Korean (CJK) transcripts can be enabled in the settings to make sure overlapping speech parts are indented by the right amount of spaces (two per character) during export.
3. New "Play from segment" function
- A "Play from segment" function has been implemented to play the segment which is currently selected in the transcription viewer.
- "Play from segment" can be activated using the newly added button in the audio controls or Shift+Enter.
4. New rich text formatting in editor
- Bold, italic and underlined styles can now be applied to segments from within the editor
- Regular Ctr+B, Ctrl+I and Ctrl+U shortcuts can be used from inside the editor
- The applied styles are visible in the viewer, while markup tags are shown and can be edited in the edit dialog.
- Markup tags are converted (and stripped for .TXT & .SRT) during export/preview.
Other Improvements
- Replaced inconvenient spin box for speaker number adjustment with a more intuitive set of buttons on the top right side of the screen
- Made the "Unassigned Segments" viewer a little more useful by including the number of unassigned segments (vs. total number)
- Got rid of the redundant symbols button and added an easy to find "Export Transcript" button on the right hand corner of the screen
