This repo contains several lightweight angular apps on different versions. Each folder is self containing. It is reported that Angular Material is leaking DOM Nodes and this repo can be used to reproduce the issue. Each application implements the same component structure: one component using standard HTML5 elementes, while the second component uses the Material equivalent. It is observed that when navigating back and forth between the two components, the material elements become detached and retained in memory. This can be observed by taking memory snapshots, as well as monitoring the DOM Node count in your browser's performance monitor.
