Detail

  • set AWS CleanRooms engine to SPARK as default CLEAN_ROOMS_SQL is deprecated
You are receiving this message because you currently utilize AWS Clean Rooms collaborations with the Clean Rooms SQL analytics engine. AWS Clean Rooms will end support for legacy Clean Rooms SQL analytics engine-based collaboration on December 17, 2025. Additionally, any active AWS free tier offers using SQL aggregation and list analysis rules will also expire on this date.

A list of your affected resources can be found in the "Affected resources" tab of your AWS Health Dashboard. Dynamic resource status updates are not provided for this Planned Lifecyle Event (PLE) and resources associated with this event will not be assigned any status even if the requisite action has been taken or the resource has been deleted. For more details about PLEs, please consult the user guide for AWS Health Planned Lifecycle Events [1].

We require you to update to Spark analytics engine-based collaborations [2] before December 17, 2025. The new Spark analytics engine offers enhanced capabilities and ensures access to AWS Clean Rooms' latest feature releases. On December 17, 2025, AWS Clean Rooms will turn off Clean Rooms SQL analytics engine support. Before July 16, 2025, you must contact AWS Customer Support to request a limit increase in order to create any new Clean Rooms SQL engine-based collaborations. After July 16, 2025, the creation of new Clean Rooms SQL engine-based collaborations will no longer be available.

Please refer to our documentation on updating your collaborations [3] and queries [4] to Spark SQL for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to AWS Support [5].
