By setting AllowOverride to All, .htaccess files can be used to force SSL (final post here: https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?messageID=641930) when on AWS behind an Elastic Load Balancer.

This will obviate the need for overriding the custom JSON to set the db
adapter for postgresql databases. It has been reported as an issue by several
customers and was submitted as a PR
https://github.com/aws/opsworks-cookbooks/pull/166/files on github.
This adds the opsworks_postgresql cookbook (already present in the 11.4
branch) to 11.10. When rails applications are deployed with postgres as
the database adapter postgres devel packages will be installed for the
pg Gem installation.
Before it was only for errors with a response but not for basic network
problems like timeout.
Latest version is 0.12.9
This change addresses the need to override the postgresql client and
devel package with custom JSON.

Backticks are not recommeded but OpsWorks.shellout is merging
stdout/stderr so I use raw mixlib shellout
We don't do bind mounts for on premises instances.
