Sync dynamic data getter

Description

The base PR #157 changes some logic to improve accuracy: this updates the dynamic data getter to reflect the changes.

Note: This assumes we are able to change the dynamic data struct. If we cannot do that (because there's too much API usage tied to it), then I'll update this to use the same ABI (but still be more accurate).
