Im having an issue that this MR will be the solution.

I wouldn't have much hope of this repo being revived. We forked to here instead - with all 3 of my PRs merged there:
https://github.com/fleetspace/goque - note you'd need a replace github.com/beeker1121/goque/v2 => github.com/fleetspace/goque/v2 v2.1.4-fleet directive in your go.mod
