A self taught software engineer in the passionate pursuit and creation of useful and exciting things with over 15,000 hours spent programming professionally for startups. Now leads organizations on how to effectively build high-quality software.
Ultimately, I'd argue that my obsession about Growth is my foundational trait that has pushed me to where I am now.
I've leaned into high value skills that have helped me to become sort of a unicorn, especially in the art of building software. Psychology, writing, and an interest in robotics led me to programming at the age of 21, barely knowing how to navigate a Windows 8 computer (coming from a small town in Idaho). "21" might sound late to the party, but I'd argue that my history and the level of dedication and passion has pushed me to surpass most with my "building software" expertise. I've been a solo engineer within organizations to help them integrate software into their business models, significantly reducing the time spent on things that didn't matter.
As a software engineer, I've nurtured my capabilities much past a typical developer, building trust with organizations to help lead major product decisions to hit all areas of the funnel, helping prioritize what actually matters to their business's growth. This includes being able to make high level architectural decisions to reduce flops and increase development speed, while also being able to pull teams of all sorts of levels and skills in a direction to execute to achieve targetted business outcomes.
Now, I'm creating AI systems, consuming content with a massive funnel, directly feeding everything into my pre-frontal cortex (who knows if that's the right spot). My goal is to leverage the latest tranformational AI wave of what it means to be a software engineer, a person who is starting to look more and more like a character from cyberpunk.
