cross compilation (wsl2 to windows64) / blake3 v1.5.0 / bevy 0.12.0

Hello!

Since the update of bevy to version 0.12.0 I am not capable of building my bevy project from ubuntu (in a wsl2), to windows using x86_64-pc-windows-msvc target.

It appears it comes from the update of the blake3 dependency from bevy 0.12.0.

I followed these steps to make the cross-building working: https://bevy-cheatbook.github.io/setup/cross/linux-windows.html#microsoft-windows-sdks
And it was working on bevy 0.11.3

I tried to add ml64.exe to my PATH, but then I have an issue while linking the dependency (because it mixes windows path with linux [wsl] paths I guess).

Do you have an idea, someone in the same case than me maybe?
Do you think I should open an issue there in blake3?

Also maybe worth to note that I tried to update to a precise version without success:

Seems to be a known issue with blake3 BLAKE3-team/BLAKE3#180

Hello, I've seen this issue before opening the discussion, but I think this is slightly different because we are talking of windows muscl here while the issue is about darwin.

I was assuming it was because of an update in bevy of blake3 version.
But are you saying that blake3 was not a dependency at all in bevy 0.11.3?

No, it was introduced to replace the MD5 check on Asset V2.

It's possible to use another crate, if the problem is indeed with blake3
