Hey guys,
Just a quick heads-up: I haven't attempted to flash anything yet, so I don't have the 3 log files to attach. I'm just looking for some guidance before I take the plunge so I don't end up with a bricked TCU.
I've been looking into the TheFlashBold fork and reading up on the DQ381 support (the fix for the 2-phase block erase is awesome work, by the way). My situation is that I only have a modified .bin file ready to go, but I don't have the original .frf container.
Since the docs mention that this TCU doesn't need to be unlocked like the Simos18.1, and that the tool automatically handles the AES-128-CBC encryption and LZSS10 compression, what does the actual workflow look like?
Is it really as simple as just loading my .bin into the VW_Flash_GUI, selecting the DQ381 protocol, and hitting flash? A quick rundown or a mini-tutorial on the exact steps for a .bin-only flash would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks for all the hard work on this project!
