I've just tested it myself, and I think bucket names can start with a number, but not with hyphens.

Can I check that this is what you had in mind? Or was there a different behaviour that made you conclude bucket names couldn't start with a number?

Thanks for checking back.

It turned out to be a Wrangler issue, but we'd still like to make some small changes:

Bucket names must begin and end with an alphanumeric and can only contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and hyphens (-).
