Makes sense, just a few minor comments.
Regarding Optional: it means that the value can be None, not that it has a default value.

I am not sure which naming scheme for the extracted blocks is the best. With the image name (eg. PV, SGN) at the end, the files are ordered in the correct way, with each extracted block next to its counterpart. |
