  • Closes Access geotiff metadata #804
  • Tests added
  • Fully documented, including docs/history.rst for all changes and docs/rioxarray.rst for new API

I tried this way as a POC, but it's more optimised to either :

  • to recreate (if possible ?) from the attributes
  • to store these 2 dicts on the opening

And I remember it was hard for me to switch from rasterio to rioxarray, because I was missing the meta dict.

No real need when you are familiar with rioxarray, you're right.
Maybe just adding some documentation about the equivalence between the two libs should be enough.
I'll try to draft something in the next days.
