Making changes to dependencies in
package.jsonwith the LTS version of npm causes whitespace indentation changes to the file in theexportskey.Change
Using node
v20.17.0LTS with npm10.8.2, execute the following command to normalizepackage.json.Since this is a whitespace change only, no new version release is triggered.
After this change,
npm installhas no more formatting side-effects.
