CAPod brings AirPods battery monitoring and smart features to Android. It reads Bluetooth LE broadcasts from your AirPods to show battery levels, trigger popups, and more — no Apple device required.
- Battery levels — Left, right, and case battery at a glance
- Case-open popup — See battery status the moment you open the lid
- Home screen widget — Battery info without opening the app
- Auto pause/play — Pause audio when you take an AirPod out
- Auto connect — Automatically connect when AirPods are nearby
- Ear detection — Know which pods are in use
All official AirPods and Beats models are supported — see the full list in the README. Some clone/fake AirPods work too, depending on the model.
- Install CAPod from Google Play, GitHub, or F-Droid
- Grant Bluetooth and location permissions (location is required by Android for BLE scanning — CAPod doesn't track you)
- Open your AirPods case near your phone
- Create a device profile matching your AirPods model
By default, battery shows in 10% steps (an Apple protocol limitation). You can unlock 1% granularity by extracting your AirPods' identity and encryption keys — see the Key Extraction Guide.
