Denis Ćorić

Full-stack engineer building resilient web and cloud products with TypeScript, React, and thoughtful developer experience. I currently craft open-source tooling at G-Research OSS, partner with product teams across Europe, and occasionally swap the keyboard for a 7-iron or Blender session.

Snapshot

  • 🌍 Based in Belgrade, collaborating remotely across EU/UK time zones
  • 🧠 10+ years of experience spanning frontend platforms, API design, and DevOps automation
  • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Leadership focus on mentoring, design systems, testing strategies, and observability culture
  • 📬 Always open to OSS collaborations, DX initiatives, and data-heavy product work

What I'm focused on

  1. Frontend platforms – Next.js/React architectures, performance budgets, data visualisation, design systems, Storybook-driven handoffs.
  2. Backend & data – Event-driven Node.js services, GraphQL/REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Redis, serverless runtimes, and security-first workflows.
  3. DevEx & platform enablement – CI/CD, policy automation, traceability, and the tooling that helps teams ship faster without sacrificing quality.

Selected projects

  • git-proxy – FINOS compliance layer that enforces push policies between developers and Git remotes; ideal for regulated industries (core contributor).
  • grafana-incremental-trace-viewer – Grafana plugin enabling incremental navigation through massive Tempo traces, built with TypeScript + Tailwind (G-Research OSS).
  • redstone – Knowledge management application offering markdown file storage with seamless web and mobile synchronization for cross-platform note-taking.
  • ip-geolocation – Drop-in GeoIP enrichment service combining Cloudflare headers, MaxMind fallbacks, and resilient caching strategies for edge workloads.
  • news-feed – Aggregates breaking news headlines and search capabilities across curated sources via a clean REST API.
  • sentry-teams-webhook – Converts Sentry alerts into actionable Microsoft Teams notifications for streamlined incident response.
  • yunikorn-web – Modernized Apache YuniKorn's cluster scheduler UI with performant React components and improved accessibility (early OSS contribution).
  • yunikorn-history-server – Historical data service for K8s clusters using YuniKorn scheduler, built with Go (my first open-source project).

Outside of code

  • Write about engineering craft and product strategy at dcoric.dev
  • Speak and mentor on TypeScript ergonomics, observability-first delivery, and OSS governance
  • Hobbies: golf, experimental 3D modelling, and keeping Grafana dashboards aesthetically pleasing
