Approved. No longer necessary after we found that the missing GUI updates weren't a problem in VS Code but a defect in transforming GDB breakpoint notifications into DAP breakpoint notifications.
This PR reverts the code changes from #153

The custom event that was created for the sake of toggling all breakpoints for rendering them is no longer needed
