Motivation

In Docusaurus v3.9, we added support for both DocSearch v3/v4: https://docusaurus.io/blog/releases/3.9#docsearch-v4

This dual version added a maintenance cost for the DocSearch team and us.

In Docusaurus v4 (#11719), we want to drop support for DocSearch v3 and require v4.6+ to simplify all the workarounds we had to implement.
