# Falcon core

Falcon is a software for real-time processing of neural signals to enable short-latency closed-loop feedback in
experiments that try to causally link neural activity to behavior.


# Easy Ubuntu installation

To install Falcon on Ubuntu, simply run the following command in your terminal:

```

# Advanced development and debugging

Falcon backend is developed in C++. New processors and data types can be developed in C++ and added as extensions. In order to compile the codebase, you can follow exact steps that the automated CI pipeline uses. Please refer to the `.github/workflows/build_backend.yml` file for more details. As can be seen in the workflow, the build process is based on CMake and uses clang and gcc compilers. In order to have linting and formatting, llvm tools are required.
