This has apparently been a feature (though undocumented in
read_csv()) in readr since 2.0.0. As a result, we don't need to usepurrr::map_df()to combineread_csv()calls.This is an internal change that does not affect users. I don't think it's worth listing this in NEWS.md.
This PR also shortens some sentences in NEWS.md.
