Cat-VRS Product Roadmap

We would love any thoughts that the community has on our current Product Roadmap! At this year's GA4GH Connect in April, there will be a session discussing the roadmaps for each product within the Genomic Knowledge Standards Work Stream. The aims of this session will be to:

• Identify priorities for implementation
• Identify needs of registered and soon-to-be registered implementers
• Associate a timeframe scope and staffing for each item within the draft roadmap.

A version of the Cat-VRS Product Roadmap, as prepared for the 1.0 Product Approval Process, can be viewed here. The Active and Planned product priorities are currently, as of this writing:

Active:

• GA4GH Product Approval
• Implement copy change, feature context, and function constraints
• Incorporate boolean logic into constraint model
• Implement all Trial Use classes in testbed

Planned:

• 2025 Q1 (Feb) - Trial Use Review Ballot for additional constraint classes (copy change, feature context, and function)
• 2025 Q2 - “call to action” manuscript: brief introduction and landscape analysis of categorical variants
• 2025 Q2 (Apr) - expand Cat-VRS examples at GA4GH pre-Connect Hackathon
