I was unable to get the requests to work until I switched to using
Authorization:to send the token, instead of sending it as a request parameter. I also needed to pass my login cookie, but that maybe isn't needed if you are using the bot api instead of a user account. I also made it save the whole scrollback instead of the most recent 100 messages.
